8/4: Week In Review

1) Red Riders reform for East Coast tour

Sydney band Red Riders are reforming for a tour next month. After six years off, Red Riders played their first reunion show last weekend. Now they are heading off on an east coast tour with their friends Dappled Cities; tour dates can be found here.

2) Holy Holy album tour

Holy Holy recently released their second album ‘Paint’, which they’ll be touring in support of this June and July. The tour will reach most major cities and some regional hubs, with their Melbourne show at 170 Russell on June 30th. Visit the band’s Facebook page for all dates.

3) Skeggs release new video and announce tour

This week Skeggs previewed the video clip for their latest single ‘Got On My Skateboard’ (view below) and also released their new EP ‘Holiday Food’. To celebrate, Skeggs are touring the EP this May and June throughout Europe, the UK and finishing in Australia. View all tour dates here.

4) In Hearts Wake drop new single and tour details

In Hearts Wake are back with new music, releasing their latest single ‘Warcry’ this week and announcing a national tour for July. This is one of their only Australian tours this year and they will be playing some of their biggest shows to date. Supports come from Crossfaith, While She Sleeps and Polaris. 5) Dark Mofo lineup announced

The lineup for Tasmania’s Dark Mofo festival has been announced. Performers include Einstürzende Neubauten, Mogwai, A.B. Original, Buried Country and Hymns To The Dead, with the lineup also featuring Ancient Rain, a collaboration between Paul Kelly, Camille O’Sullivan and Feargal Murray. Dark Mofo is happening between June 8th and 21st at various venues in Hobart. Full the full list of artists, dates and venues, visit the festival website.

6) Saviour reveal new video and tour dates

Since their reform in 2016, Saviour have been busy playing shows and writing, releasing their debut album ‘Let Me Leave’ earlier this year. Saviour have now dropped the video clip for their single ‘April’ off that album (view below) and have announced a string of shows for May. See all tour dates here.

7) REMI and Sampa The Great are touring together

REMI and Sampa The Great have announced they are reuniting for a co-headline national tour in June and July. The tour will start in Sydney and finish in Darwin, with the headlining spot to alternate each night. See Facebook for details.
